The App Store is only 1% of Apple’s revenue

Fortune magazine has published some articles about today ’s business Apple and that has surprised everyone is that App Store Apple gives only 1 % of gross profits. Apple had already said that the App Store was almost bankrupt and the numbers released today confirm it somehow. Fortune publishes The numbers are clear : 5000 million downloaded applications , one billion dollars generated for developers , $ 429 million for Apple (which is to be deducted as expenses : visa , bandwidth , storage) ; 1 $ 49 average price per application, 81% are free and 19 % payment.

Apple has generated 33 700 billion since the launch of the App Store which, in turn, implies that 1 % referred to above, while iTunes Store Full 3600 has generated millions of dollars, so the App Store would be 12% of the total generated by the iTunes Store.
